About the Role
This role has responsibility to manage the support and analysis of the Doctors’ Health Fund's (DHF) systems, processes and requirements with a view to improving efficiency and recommending system controls and protocols.
This role is tasked with a deep understanding of the way the Fund’s systems, processes and procedures interact, as well as relevant industry developments and ensuring issues impacting the fund are planned for and solutions adapted in conjunction with the Strategy and Innovation team.
The principle purposes of the position are to:
• Assist the application support function to ensure users can perform their jobs
• Continuously review DHF systems (HAMBS, e5, Sugar CRM, website, mobile app etc) for 'best fit' for the Fund
• Assist in the upgrade processes for all DHF systems
• Lead and assist with implementation of projects and initiatives
• Work with internal and external partners to develop, communicate, verify, and test desired functionality changes
• Develop and maintain understanding of customer and business needs
• Gather requirements and help build and document specifications for development / configuration
• Train and develop the Business Systems Analyst resources and nurture their professional development
Key Accountability for the role includes:
1. Manage and meet expectations of internal and external stakeholders related to the delivery of strategy and effective use of systems and technology
2. Assist in business, process and efficiency analysis
3. Participate actively in the strategic direction of our systems and technology
4. Ensuring systems are compliant, functional and up-to-date
5. Contribute to personal and team development
To be successful you will have:
• Successful track record (min. 5 years) in business and/or process analysis
• Insurance or Financial Services background (beneficial)
• Experience using the HAMBS and e5 Workflow system (ideal)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and desktop software
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in MS Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyse and interpret business needs
• Well-developed organisational and time management abilities
• Business analytics and reporting
• Stakeholder management
• Continuous improvement orientation
• Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
