    Doctors Health Fund is an award-winning leading provider of private health insurance to Doctors throughout Australia. As a part of the Avant Mutual Group, we look after the needs of over 50,000 health care practitioners, students and their families.

    As a Member Services Specialist you will play a vital role in contributing to one of the fastest growing health funds. This is a key role within our Member Services team and is responsible for servicing members and meeting members’ service expectations. We pride ourselves on our personal, expert service and providing extraordinary outcomes for new and existing members.

    • Member Services Specialists are part of our front-line team and therefore need to be knowledgeable on our product, process, procedures and business rules. You will work in a supportive team and training will be provided.
    • This role is open to full time or part time positions. This could be school hours or full time/part-time for University graduates. You will have the flexibility to work from home or work from our Darling Park offices as part of our Best of Both policy.

     

    Key accountabilities include:

    • Deliver high quality, accurate information to members
    • Answer enquiries (by phone, fax, email or mail) promptly, competently and professionally, using correct processes, procedures and systems
    • Manage member details and identify member retention, growth and service opportunities
    • Understanding information in relation to the health insurance industry as well as understanding Doctors’ Health Funds products, processes and systems to ensure efficient and effective answering of member queries.
    • Participating in coaching and training required to keep knowledge and skills up to date

     

    The successful applicant will have:

    • HSC or equivalent preferred
    • A friendly and approachable personality and a ‘can do’ attitude;
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including listening and effective questioning skills;
    • Time management, customer service, conflict resolution and attention to detail
    • An aptitude to learn with a willingness to be involved and contribute to the success of the company.
